Our business is transforming the way we manage our day-to-day operations. This is an exciting time to join our newly formed Central Planning Unit as a Central Planning Unit Manager (known internally as CPU Manager), based in our Dunstable office.

As a Central Planning Unit Manager, you’ll lead a team of CPU Coordinators to drive operational efficiency by championing innovative processes, leveraging technology to meet service level agreements, and collaborating with business leaders to integrate project activities seamlessly into Operations.

Pay: Circa £41k - £45k

Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role

As a Central Planning Unit Manager, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring routes are planned effectively across our UK branch network to meet customer expectations and service level agreements.

Leading a team of CPU Coordinators, you’ll leverage route optimisation technology, oversee planning accuracy, and ensure the quality of analytical data. You’ll provide training and support to your team, report on performance metrics, and make strategic recommendations to senior management.

Additionally, you’ll manage new client site onboarding and monitor compliance with internal operational standards, driving both team and operational excellence.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need experience in team leadership and operational planning, along with strong communication and influencing skills.

You should be comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines and able to produce reports and statistical data as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems are essential, as is a solid understanding of driving hours rules and regulations. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are required, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset will be key to your continued success and development.
